Sir James staat voor opgestroopte mouwen, passie vertaalt in creatieve, authentieke liedjes en een energie op het podium die zich het best laat omschrijven als ‘de kracht van live muziek’.

De band combineert oprechtheid en oorspronkelijkheid in liedjes, denk aan The Band of The Beatles, met een sound die is beïnvloed door Coldplay en Muse. Het resultaat: originele melancholische pop/rock vanuit het hart.

Het talent van de Italiaanse zanger Tommaso Sarri en zijn vier bandleden is de afgelopen jaren niet onopgemerkt gebleven.

Zo stond de band in de finale van de wereldwijde bandcompetitie Emerganza (2010) na sterke optredens tijdens voorrondes in onder andere de Melkweg en de 013.

Ook won Sir James de Grote Prijs van Zuid-Holland (2011) na lovende commentaren van de jury.

De erkenning werd gekoesterd, het prijzengeld geïnvesteerd in studiotijd. In 2011 nam Sir James de EP ‘The place they talk about’ op.

Gitarist Frank van Kasteren, toetsenist Anne Punt (beiden Conservatorium Amsterdam), drummer Joost Wesseling en bassist Ralf Pouw (beiden Conservatorium Rotterdam) lijken hard op weg om met leadzanger Tommaso diepe sporen achter te laten in de Nederlandse muziekwereld.

Sir james combines sincerity and originality in her songs, as The Band and the Beatles did, with a sound that has been influenced by Coldplay and Muse. The result: original melancholic pop/rock, straight from the heart.

The talent of the Italian singer Tommaso Sarri and his four band members has not gone unnoticed these past few years.

Sir James performed in the final of the world-wide band competition Emergenza (2010) after some strong performances during qualifying rounds in, amongst others, the Melkweg and 013.

Sir James also won the ‘Grote Prijs van Zuid-holland’(2011) after some esteem praising from the judges.

The acknowledgement was cherished and the price money was invested into studio time. In 2011 Sir James recorded the EP ‘The place they talk about’.

Guitarist Frank van Kasteren and keyboard player Anne Punt (both studied at the conservatory of Amsterdam), drummer Joost Wesseling and bass player Ralf Pouw (both currently studying at the conservatory of Rotterdam) and lead-singer Tommaso Sarri, seem to be well on their way of leaving a big impression in the world of Dutch music.
